About World Connection
Vision
World Connection’s Vision is to enable people to take responsibility to improve the health, education, environment, and economic future of their communities and themselves.
Mission
Our Mission is to mentor, educate, and collaborate with dynamic and dedicated individuals to develop clearly defined and achievable projects.
History
World Connection is a non-profit organization that collaborates with individuals and local communities in various developing countries to assist in creating solutions for their development needs.
In the past, World Connection has collaborated on projects including:
- Working with the community of Kabaya, Mali, to build a rural health center completed in just three months after breaking ground.
- Building two health outposts in the Western highlands of Guatemala within the span of two months.
- Writing and performing live on Malian national television a song with a health-related message in just six days after the initial idea.
- Constructing a multi-purpose kitchen facility for Mayan women to develop forest products in Yucatan, Mexico.
The essential element in the success of World Connection’s projects is that we work with dedicated individuals and community members, providing guidance, skills, and resources to develop well-defined and achievable projects and goals in health, education, micro-economic development, and the environment.
During this past decade, World Connection has shifted its priorities to deal with the changing times and realities of our world. Today, World Connection’s focus is on educating carefully identified individuals who exhibit the necessary criteria to be mentored and guided to reach their academic and career goals.
Music plays an important role in how we connect with other cultures and how we raise funds for specific projects. World Connection establishes relationships with artists to communicate public health and educational messages in local languages and cultural norms, bringing national and international attention to local problems.
